Job Description
Job Summary:
Responsible for leading the design, implementation, and supervision of firefighting and plumbing systems in compliance with local and international codes. This role includes overseeing system layouts, performing hydraulic calculations, conducting site inspections, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams. The engineer ensures that all systems meet safety, functionality, and regulatory standards across commercial and industrial projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the design of firefighting and plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and fire suppression. Ensure compliance with NFPA, IPC, NPC, IBC, and Egyptian codes. Perform hydraulic calculations and system sizing. Conduct, Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and submittals. Conduct site inspections to verify installation quality and compliance. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors for integrated project delivery. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance. Troubleshoot system issues and recommend corrective actions. Prepare technical reports and documentation. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and code changes.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.5-7 years of experience in firefighting and plumbing system design. Proficiency in Auto CAD, Revit, and hydraulic modeling tools. Familiarity with NFPA, IPC, NPC, and local codes.

Professional certifications in fire protection or plumbing design are a plus. Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and integrated design. Familiarity with sustainable design principles and green building certifications. Experience in Oil & Gas or electrical substations projects. In-depth understanding of firefighting and plumbing systems for commercial and industrial applications Strong knowledge of local and international codes and standards Expertise in hydraulic calculations and system sizing. Familiarity with construction practices and MEP coordination.
