As per the Çalışma ve Sosyal Güvenlik Bakanlığı, the minimum wage for security guards in Turkey is 22.500 TL per month as of January 2026. Night shifts receive an additional 15% premium and overtime is compensated at 1.5 times the hourly rate after 45 hours weekly.

As per the Emniyet Genel Müdürlüğü, all security guards must hold a valid Özel Güvenlik Kimlik Kartı issued after completing 120 hours of training and passing the exam. The license is valid for 5 years and requires renewal with a medical report and background check.

As per the Çalışma ve Sosyal Güvenlik Bakanlığı, applicants must submit a valid Özel Güvenlik Kimlik Kartı, high school diploma, criminal record certificate, health report, and 4 biometric photos. Applications are processed through İŞKUR within 15 business days.

As per the Çalışma ve Sosyal Güvenlik Bakanlığı, security guards work a maximum of 45 hours per week with at least 24 consecutive hours of rest weekly. They receive 14 days of paid annual leave after the first year, increasing to 20 days after 5 years of service.
