Job Summary:

We are looking to hiring a very skilled Interior Decorator Carpenter for one of our construction company in Al Ain. A Skilled Interior Decorator Carpenter is responsible for creating and installing custom wood works and furniture while ensuring that design concepts align with the overall interior decoration theme. This role requires a combination of advanced carpentry skills and a strong understanding of design principles enabling the creation of both functional and visually appealing spaces.

Key Responsibilities:
• Woodwork Design and Installation:
• Design create and install custom woodwork items such as furniture (e.g. cabinets shelves desks) wall paneling doors window frames and decorative trim.
• Ensure that all wood pieces are constructed with precision durability and alignment to the design vision.
• Interior Design Consultation:
• Collaborate with clients or interior designers to understand the clients vision space requirements and aesthetic preferences.
• Suggest design ideas and solutions that incorporate functionality and style focusing on maximizing space utility and creating an inviting atmosphere.
• Custom Furniture Creation:
• Develop bespoke furniture based on client needs including modifications to existing pieces or creating entirely new designs.
• Select materials (wood veneers finishes) that match the design theme and ensure longevity and quality.
• Space Planning and Layout:
• Plan and conceptualize how the woodwork integrates into the overall interior design of the room or space.
• Ensure seamless integration of carpentry elements with existing interior features (e.g. walls flooring and lighting).
• Measurements and Installation:
• Take accurate measurements of spaces to ensure proper fitting of furniture and custom installations.
• Safely install wooden structures ensuring precise fitting durability and functionality.
• Sourcing Materials:
• Work with suppliers to source quality materials for carpentry projects keeping in mind design aesthetics durability and budget constraints.
• Evaluate and select appropriate wood types finishes and other materials based on the project requirements.
• Finishing and Detailing:
• Apply finishing touches including sanding staining painting and polishing to enhance the appearance of woodwork.
• Ensure that woodwork pieces are free from imperfections and meet design specifications.
• Repairs and Renovations:
• Repair or renovate old or damaged furniture or wooden structures in a way that matches the overall design theme.
• Offer suggestions for upgrades or modifications that align with the client s evolving interior needs.
• Collaboration:
• Work alongside interior designers architects electricians and other contractors to ensure that all elements of a project are completed efficiently and harmoniously.
• Address any issues or challenges that may arise during the project offering solutions that maintain both functionality and aesthetic appeal.
• Health and Safety Compliance:
• Ensure that all carpentry tasks are carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Properly use and maintain tools and equipment ensuring a safe working environment at all times.

Skills & Qualifications:
• Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent; formal carpentry training or apprenticeship is preferred.
• Certification or degree in Interior Design or a related field (a plus).
• Experience:
• Proven experience as a carpenter with a strong portfolio of previous interior decoration and carpentry projects.
• Experience with advanced woodworking tools and techniques.
• Strong understanding of interior design principles and styles.
