Cleaner/Housekeeping

As per the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE), employment contracts for cleaning staff (skill level 6-7) specify basic salaries starting at AED 1,500 per month as of January 2026, with total pay including allowances reaching AED 2,500. Overtime is paid at 125% of hourly rate, calculated as basic salary divided by 216 hours monthly. All payments must be via Wage Protection System.

International applicants require a 2-year renewable employment residence permit sponsored by the employer through MOHRE work permit (AED 100-600 fee) followed by ICP visa stamping (AED 750 max). Employers cover all costs including medical test (AED 370) and Emirates ID (AED 370 first time) as of 2026. Job seekers must not pay more than AED 5,000 total recruitment fees.

No minimum education is required for cleaning staff positions under Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021; skill level 7 accepts no prior qualifications. Employers prefer 6-12 months experience for mall or office roles, with UAE nationals prioritized under 4% Emiratisation quota for 2026. Medical fitness certificate is mandatory for all.

Submit passport copy (valid 6+ months), 4 passport photos, and attested employment contract to employer for MOHRE work permit application (approved in 5 working days, costs AED 200). Employer then applies for residence visa via ICP portal within 60 days (AED 1,025 total fees paid by employer). Entry permit allows 60-day job joining period.
