As per the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, the average monthly salary for drivers in the private sector is AED 3,500 including basic pay and allowances based on 2023 statistical reports applicable to 2026. Salaries for light vehicle drivers start at AED 2,500 while heavy vehicle drivers earn AED 4,500 on average. All salaries are protected under the Wage Protection System with monthly payments.

As per the UAE Government Portal, foreign drivers require an employer-sponsored residence visa valid for 3 years, with initial entry permit valid 60 days. The employer pays AED 200 for entry permit and AED 300 for annual labor card renewal. Medical examination costs AED 350 and Emirates ID AED 370 for first issuance.
