Job Description
Key Responsibilities
• Welding Execution: Perform precise TIG welding on various materials, including thin-gauge metals, stainless steel, and aluminum, to exact specifications.
• Technical Reading: Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding symbols to plan layouts and dimensions.
• Equipment Setup: Set up, adjust, and maintain TIG welding machines, including gas tanks, torches, and filler rods.
• Fabrication & Preparation: Cut, grind, and clean metal components before welding; ensure proper fit-up of parts.
• Quality Inspection: Inspect finished welds for defects, ensuring compliance with structural, safety, and quality standards.
• Safety Adherence: Maintain a clean work area and comply with all safety regulations, including wearing proper PPE.

Skills
• Technical Proficiency: Expertise in GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) techniques, including precise control of the torch and foot pedal for amperage management.
• Material Handling & Preparation: Ability to cut, shape, clean, and fit materials according to specifications before welding.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Reading and interpreting engineering drawings,, layouts, and specifications.
• Equipment Setup: Selecting appropriate tungsten electrodes, shielding gases, and filler materials, as well as setting up welding machines.
• Quality Inspection: Assessing completed welds for defects, ensuring compliance with standards, and performing necessary repairs.
