We offer a supportive environment where our teams work closely to achieve the best patient outcomes and high standards of care.About UsEstablished in 2016, Gold Coast Private Hospital is a state-of-the-art, 340-bed facility located in the heart of the Gold Coast Precinct in Southport.With 22 operating theatres, Gold Coast Private Hospital offers a wide range of specialties including, but not limited to, 24/7 Emergency Care, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care, and Oncology.Gold Coast Private Hospital is committed to continual growth, providing exciting opportunities and professional career pathways in healthcare.As a Theatre/Recovery Orderly - Admissions/Postoperative Anaesthetic Recovery Unit, your responsibilities will include: Patient assistance and transfers including the use of Wheelchairs, lifting machines and bed movers Preoperative preparation of the patient as per surgical VMO requirements General housekeeping duties e.g. cleaning beds, organising linen, restocking of equipment, and waste management Remove dirty linen / ensure clean linen is readily available Operate in line with WHS policy & procedures Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients and patients Cultivating a hospitable and friendly environment for all patients Work as an active team member to support all work tasks Essential Criteria Authority to Work in Australia Cert 4 Assistant in Nursing/patient services or working towards Experience as an Orderly in a hospital environment preferred Vaccination and serology records prior to commencement Working with Children check Commitment to service excellence Ability to prioritise and organise work with minimal supervision Ability to work in a fast-paced environment High level attention to detail Healthscope, where career means more!
