DescriptionProcess Assistants form an integral part of Amazon Middle Mile operations, contributing significantly to the team's dynamic growth. Process Assistants are responsible for daily management of department duties including: allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties, providing work direction and communicating with internal and external stakeholders.Key job responsibilities Maintain a safe workplace by following Safety SOPs ensuring the well-being of all personnel and the integrity of Amazon operations Support daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties etc Support associates to deliver great service and supervise them in their daily tasks Measure and monitor workflows, track onsite performance, and provide important shift information to front-line management to ensure operational excellence across shifts Support the Shift/Area Manager with projects to improve processes, cultivate a safe working environment, and increase workforce engagement Participate in Operational Excellence initiatives Understand workflow and daily production goals Ensure successful area performance, through tracking, reporting and feedback of associate performance Identify and address safety hazards within the work area, and participate in safety initiatives Coach associates on ways to work safely at all times Assist the floor as an associate resource, training associates and verifying SOP compliance Provide coverage for Shift ManagersBasic Qualifications Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidaysPreferred Qualifications Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach Experience in logisticsAcknowledgement Of CountryIn the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
