This is a hands on role which involves carrying out ad hoc repairs and programmed preventative maintenance in relation to all aspects of the building environment, including particular attention to the upkeep of our rooms and guest requests. You will monitor and inspect the conditions of work spaces and equipment, ensuring to report on any areas where improvements are required. Additional tasks will include preventative maintenance and operational testing. You will work in a professional and safe manner, which is in accordance with relevant hotel standards and procedures.Our ideal candidate will possess: Established experience in similar role – hotel environment strongly preferred “Hands on” maintenance and repairs experience is essential Personable demeanor with natural ability to interact with guests Dedicated work ethic, with an eye for detail and accuracy Strong multi-modal communication skills – including verbal, reading and written Competency in working both collaboratively and independently Technically minded, with confidence working with computers and systems Creative and adaptive problem-solving skills and ability to manage deadlines Relevant qualification certificates with a minimum of Certificate III in Plumbing & Drainage (essential) Certificates in gas fitting, Backflow Prevention and Thermostatic Mixing Valves (Preferable) Full working rights in Australia with availability to work a rotating roster, including evenings and weekends.Spark up your career.
