Job Description
Driver Services & Operations Administrator

We are hiring a highly organized, detail-driven Driver Services & Operations Administrator to support our fleet and owner-operator network. This role combines driver support, fleet administration, billing oversight, and multi-system data management in a fast-paced, high-interaction environment. This is not a quiet back-office role. You will be dealing with drivers, accounts, and real-time issues throughout the day while keeping systems accurate and up to date.

What You Will Do

Greet and assist drivers and owners in person, by phone, and email by handling stand rent, payment, and trip-related inquiries, investigating discrepancies, and coordinating resolutions with accounting.

Set up new vehicles across multiple systems, including registration, documentation, liens, and compliance paperwork, and process vehicle removals such as bills of sale and taxi strip coordination.

Manage stand rent, billing adjustments (on-road/off-road), account discrepancies, and vehicle loan tracking and resolution.

Maintain accurate vehicle and driver files, including updates to licenses, badges, mechanical records, and insurance status.

Enter and manage data across multiple platforms while maintaining accuracy and consistency across all systems.

Document operational processes in real time, develop internal guides and training materials, and identify gaps and inconsistencies in workflows.

What We’re Looking For

Experience in transportation, fleet, logistics, or high-volume administrative environments with strong billing and reconciliation skills, comfort working across multiple systems, strong communication and problem-solving ability, high attention to detail, and ability to perform in a fast-paced, driver-facing environment.

Key Traits

Calm, patient, and driver-focused with strong accuracy under pressure, a structured and consistent approach, natural problem-solving ability, and a willingness to learn systems deeply and improve processes.

Work Environment

Fast-paced, high-interaction office environment with constant driver and owner engagement, combining administrative work, problem-solving, and real-time issue resolution.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about Driver Jobs in Canada

Q What is the hourly wage range for transport truck drivers in Canada in 2026?
According to Government of Canada's Job Bank, transport truck drivers (NOC 73300) earn $18.07 per hour at the low end, $26.44 median, and $41.35 at the high end nationally as of 2026. Entry-level drivers start closer to $20.00 per hour after obtaining a Class 1 licence. Overtime is paid at 1.5 times the regular rate after 40 hours per week for federally regulated positions.
Q Do I need a work permit and LMIA for truck driver jobs in Canada as a foreigner?
International applicants require a work permit under the Temporary Foreign Worker Program; employers must obtain a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) first, with high-wage stream processing in 10 business days and low-wage up to 18 weeks as of 2026. Truck driver jobs qualify if the offered wage meets or exceeds the provincial/territorial median hourly wage of $26.44 nationally. Exemptions apply for intra-company transfers but not typically for drivers.
Q What education and experience are needed for truck driver jobs in Canada?
No post-secondary education is required, but a high school diploma is often preferred; most employers seek 6 months to 1 year of directly related experience. A valid Class 1/AZ commercial driver's licence, air brake endorsement (Z), and clean driver's abstract are mandatory. On-the-job training is provided for 1-3 months typically.
Q What documents are required to apply for truck driver jobs in Canada?
Applicants must submit a resume, valid commercial driver's licence (e.g., Class 1/AZ), 3-year driver's abstract, criminal record check, and employment references. For new immigrants, include work permit, SIN, and passport. Applications are submitted online via employer portals or Job Bank, with interviews requiring proof of logbook experience.
