Job Description
At TIW Western Inc., we are hiring B Pressure Welders to join our team in our Calgary, AB fabrication shop. We are specifically looking for B Pressure Welders with TIG experience. Reporting to the Welding Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for accurately fabricating components in a safe and productive environment. We are looking for B Pressure Welders with a current Alberta Journeyman Welding Ticket and B Pressure Welding certificate who have 5 years of past experience welding pressure piping. The successful candidate should be able to show above average proficiency in TIG welding and demonstrate competency in GTAW, SMAW, SMAW, and MCAW. We consider an ability to TIG weld using both hands an asset. Our B Pressure Welders must be able to read and interpret shop drawings and welding procedures in order to ensure tolerances and specifications are met per company standards and that all fitting and welding duties are completed safely, accurately, and in a timely manner. Safety is critically important to us at TIW Western Inc., and we require that all employees comply with company safety and quality standards while ensuring that all work instructions are carried out as per the supervisor or lead hand's directives. Our facility also has some standardized equipment that our welders should be familiar with and know how to use, including our overhead cranes, forklift, and rigging equipment. TIW Western Inc. provides competitive rates and benefits package in a safe, progressive non-union environment. This is a full-time position with 40 hours of work available per week. We operate on a 4-day per week schedule with 10-hour shifts per day, Monday through Thursday.
