Job Description
Raptor is recruiting Journeyman Welders who demonstrate a commitment to exceptional Health & Safety, Quality and Customer Service results. Potential candidates must have heavy industrial experience rebuilding and or fabricating large mining equipment such as Dippers and Doors, Clams & Backwalls, Side Frames, Drill Masts and other large heavy welding products and components, and be able to follow manufacturers and Raptor specifications. Only candidates with current Journeyman Red Seal status will be considered.

Skill Requirements:
• flux core all position (.062", .052" and .045") CWB Flux core is an asset
• Metalcore - Flat and Horizontal (.052" and .045")
• Fitting rolled/formed plates & large steel castings
• Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings
• Oxy-fuel cutting, manual and track cutting
• Gouging using ¼”-5/8” gouging rod
• Crack repair
• Bore / surface build up
• Repairing steel castings and plates up to 6" thick
• Following and maintaining preheats as per procedure
• Grinding / Blending

Candidates will be required to use a Overhead crane, forklift and EWP. Current certification is an asset.
• $1.50/hr. continuous shift premium for all workers on 7/7 schedule
• $150/year PPE allowance for boots, prescription safety eyewear, molding hearing protection, Etc.
• OT rates paid on all hours worked in excess of 84 hours per pay period.
• Blue Cross benefits package after completion of 90 day probationary period
• RRSP plan with contribution matching starting at 2% after 6 months.
