Job Description
Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Welder to join their dynamic team in Ottawa, Ontario, CA . You will be involved in various stages of the welding process, from preparation and setup to executing welds according to precise specifications. Responsibilities will include: Assisting senior welders with various tasks on project sites and in the workshop. Learning and applying different welding techniques such as SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW. Preparing metal surfaces for welding, including cleaning, grinding, and cutting. Setting up welding equipment and ensuring it is in safe working order. Reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols. Performing basic quality checks on completed welds. Maintaining a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols. Participating actively in training sessions and continuous learning opportunities. Fostering a collaborative team environment and communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
