Position Summary

Viscor is seeking a skilled MIG/TIG Welder to support the fabrication of high-quality lighting fixtures and components. The successful candidate will have experience welding thin-gauge sheet metal, stainless steel, and aluminum, with a strong attention to detail and workmanship required for visible, finished products.

Key Responsibilities
β€’ Perform MIG and TIG welding on thin-gauge sheet metal components
β€’ Weld stainless steel and aluminum parts to tight tolerances and high cosmetic standards
β€’ Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions
β€’ Set up welding equipment, select appropriate filler materials, and adjust settings as required
β€’ Inspect welds for quality, strength, and appearance; perform rework if necessary
β€’ Grind, finish, and clean welded assemblies to meet production and visual specifications
β€’ Work closely with fabrication, assembly, and quality teams to meet production schedules
β€’ Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and quality standards
β€’ Maintain equipment and keep work area clean and organized

Qualifications & Experience
β€’ Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a MIG/TIG welder in a manufacturing environment
β€’ Proven experience welding thin-gauge materials with minimal distortion
β€’ Strong experience with stainless steel and aluminum welding
β€’ Ability to produce aesthetic, precision welds suitable for visible lighting products
β€’ Proficient in reading blueprints and weld symbols
β€’ Familiarity with fabrication processes such as bending, forming, or light machining is an asset
β€’ Welding certification (CWB, AWS, or equivalent) is an asset
