Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Picker & Packer to join our busy warehouse team. This role involves selecting, packing, and preparing products for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have some warehouse experience and possess the physical capability to handle heavy loads. Duties
• Select items from stock according to order specifications using appropriate materials handling techniques
• Pack products securely for shipping, ensuring protection during transit
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely (training provided)
• Manage stock levels and organise inventory using warehouse management systems
• Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including loading and unloading lorries
• Conduct quality control checks to verify product accuracy and condition
• Stock shelves and organise storage areas efficiently
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
• Support the movement of goods throughout the warehouse as needed
Skills
• Experience in materials handling, picking & packing, shipping & receiving, or warehouse operations preferred
• Ability to operate forklift trucks safely (training can be provided)
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous
• Mechanical knowledge or experience with warehouse equipment is a plus
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail for order accuracy
• Physical strength to perform heavy lifting and load/unload goods regularly
• Good organisational skills for stocking and inventory management
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
• Awareness of quality control procedures to ensure high standards of product handling
