Delivery Driver

As per the Public Authority for Manpower, the minimum salary for light vehicle drivers is 250 KWD per month as of 2026. This includes a basic wage of 175 KWD plus 75 KWD transport allowance. Overtime is paid at 1.25 times the hourly rate, calculated from 8 hours per day.

Foreign drivers need an Article 18 work visa sponsored by a Kuwaiti employer, approved by PAM within 7 working days. Requirements include a valid passport (6+ months validity), medical fitness certificate, and police clearance; visa is issued for 3 years and renewable. Employer pays 15 KWD visa issuance fee.

Drivers must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid Kuwaiti Category 3 driving license, and have 2 years of driving experience. No formal education is required, but a medical fitness certificate from an approved clinic is mandatory. Heavy vehicle drivers need Category 1 license and 3 years experience.

The employer submits the job contract, applicant's passport copy, 4 photos, attested driving license, medical report, and experience certificate to PAM online. Approval takes 5 working days, followed by fingerprinting at PACI for residency visa. Total process fee is 25 KWD including permit stamping.
