Office Cleaning Staff (Female)

As per the Ministry of Labour, the minimum wage for Omani nationals in private sector roles, including cleaning staff, is 400 OMR per month gross as of July 2024, remaining unchanged through 2026. This applies to full-time contracts of at least one year. Employers must also provide 45 OMR monthly transport allowance if applicable.

As per the Royal Oman Police, expatriates need a Type 15 work residence visa sponsored by an Oman-registered employer for cleaning jobs, valid for 2 years and renewable. The application process requires employer submission via MOL portal, medical fitness test, and fees of 20 OMR application plus 12 OMR/month permit. Visa processing takes 5-10 working days after document approval.

As per the Ministry of Labour, no formal education is required for cleaning staff roles, but applicants must be at least 21 years old and physically fit. Previous experience of 1-2 years is preferred for faster hiring, especially under Omanisation quotas requiring 10% Omani staff in cleaning firms by 2026.
