Hiring Packing Workers in Riyadh

As per the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the minimum wage for Saudi nationals in private sector jobs including packing is SAR 4,000 per month as of 2026. This applies across all professions and includes basic salary components without allowances. Wage payments must be made monthly via the Wage Protection System.

Foreigners require a temporary work visa sponsored by an employer, valid for 90 days, followed by an Iqama residence permit valid for 1-2 years renewable. The employer applies via Qiwa platform after Ministry approval. Visa fees are SAR 2,000 for the first year plus SAR 650 medical test.

No formal education or prior experience is required for unskilled packing jobs as per Saudi Labor Law. Employers prioritize physical fitness and basic training provided on-site. Saudi nationals under 18 or over 60 may have restrictions on hazardous packing tasks.

Saudi nationals need National ID, Iqama if applicable, and educational certificates uploaded to Taqat or Qiwa. Foreigners submit passport, visa, and skills test results. All applications require a Qiwa-registered employer contract specifying SAR 4,000 minimum for Saudis.
