Part time Cleaners

As per the Ministry of Manpower, under the Progressive Wage Model for the cleaning sector, the minimum monthly basic salary for a cleaner with less than 6 months experience is S$1,800 as of 1 January 2026. This must be supplemented by at least S$200 in fixed allowances or variable payments. Salaries progress to S$2,200 for cleaners with 6-11 months experience.

As per the Ministry of Manpower, foreign workers for cleaning roles require a Work Permit, with a monthly levy of S$450 payable by employers as of 2026. The sector has a 1:3.5 dependency ratio quota for non-Malaysian workers, and maximum tenure is 14 years. S Pass or Employment Pass do not apply to cleaning occupations.

As per the Ministry of Manpower, no minimum education qualifications or prior experience are required for entry-level cleaning staff under the Progressive Wage Model. Workers qualify for the base S$1,800 monthly salary immediately upon hiring. WSQ cleaning certifications are recommended for wage progression to S$2,500 and above.

As per the Ministry of Manpower, employers apply via WP Online with the worker's passport (valid 23+ months), medical exam report, employment contract specifying S$1,800+ salary and PWM compliance, and S$5,000 security bond. Medical insurance of at least S$15,000 coverage is mandatory. Processing takes 1 week for Malaysians, 3 weeks for others.
