Olympia Convalescent Hospital – Koreatown

Pay Rate: $18.00 – $23.50 per hour

Olympia Convalescent Hospital is seeking reliable, professional full-time Security Guards to help maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors.

Schedule
β€’ Full-time
β€’ Rotating schedule: 4 days on / 2 days off
β€’ Shifts include:
β€’ AM: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
β€’ PM: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
β€’ NOC: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
β€’ Some weekends required

Job Overview

The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure facility by conducting patrols, monitoring activity, and managing visitor access. This role includes observing and reporting incidents, responding to emergencies, and assisting staff when security support is needed.

Minimum Education
β€’ High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Minimum Experience & Qualifications
β€’ At least 1 year of related experience (healthcare setting preferred)
β€’ Experience monitoring surveillance systems and writing incident reports
β€’ Knowledge of safety procedures, fire protection, emergency preparedness, and security standards (Department of Health Services and The Joint Commission preferred)
β€’ CPR/AED training preferred

β€’ Respond quickly and effectively to emergency and non-emergency situations
β€’ Monitor and report activities that could result in injury or property loss
β€’ Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and medical staff
β€’ Write clear, accurate, and detailed reports
β€’ Maintain positive working relationships with staff
β€’ Operate security systems and related software
β€’ Identify and assess critical situations quickly and accurately
β€’ Handle physically demanding situations, including patient restraints or violent incidents
β€’ Exercise sound judgment, emotional control, and professionalism
