Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to security, including monitoring premises, conducting regular patrols, and responding to incidents as they arise. We are hiring Security Officers to work at a shelter, ensuring a safe and secure environment for staff and guests. You will be working alongside a team of other staff.

Position Details:
• Type: Part-Time, Permanent
• Schedule: Monday Tuesday 11:00AM to 7:30PM
• Hours: 16 Hours/Week
• Location: Shelter /Fixed site – same schedule and location each day
• Start Date: Immediate openings available. Virtual interviews scheduled within 24 hours of applying.
• Key Responsibilities:
• Access Control: Monitor entry and exit points, verifying authorization for visitors, staff, and vendors.
• Security Screening: Conduct respectful and professional checks of individuals and their belongings.
• Patrolling: Perform regular site patrols to deter unauthorized access, identify safety concerns, and report incidents.
• Safety Monitoring: Assist staff with security oversight, identify potential risks, and support shelter operations.
