As part of our Security team, you will help maintain a secure and welcoming environment by supervising building entrances and perimeters, responding to incidents and emergencies, preparing reports, and providing assistance when needed. Role Overview
• Supervise building entrances, interior spaces, and exterior perimeters to ensure safety and access control
• Conduct routine patrols and remain alert to safety or security concerns
• Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, emergencies, and calls for assistance
• De-escalate conflicts and manage disruptive or aggressive behavior using professional judgment
• Investigate incidents and prepare clear, accurate written reports
• Operate surveillance systems and utilize digital security tools
• Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and facilities teams to support hospital operations
• Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining authority and integrity

Key Qualifications
• Valid New York State Security Guard License and Fire Guard (F01) certification required for NYC (SORA certification required for NJ roles)
• Prior experience working as a Security Guard or in a related safety role
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, including in outdoor and inclement weather conditions
• Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency or fast paced situations
• Experience managing conflict and de-escalating challenging interactions
• Basic knowledge of emergency preparedness procedures and security best practices
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to detail incidents clearly and accurately
