We are currently hiring full-time and part-time Unarmed Security Officers for multiple locations in Chicago and the surrounding area.

Pay: $18.50 - $24.50/hr (based on qualifications & site placement)

Shifts: All days & shifts available

Responsibilities include:

Safety & Systems Monitoring
• Patrol premises to identify safety/fire hazards and ensure equipment is operational.
• Monitor building systems (HVAC, boilers) per procedures.
• Report risks like leaks, spills, or faulty equipment.
• Screen packages, vehicles, and personnel for threats.

Security & Theft Prevention
• Deter vandalism, theft, and unauthorized access.
• Inspect equipment for tampering.
• Monitor personnel and packages to prevent property loss.

Access Control & Surveillance
• Secure entry points (doors, windows, gates).
• Log visitor and staff entry/exit.
• Operate screening devices and verify IDs.
• Monitor parking areas for suspicious activity.

Order Maintenance & Rule Enforcement
• Enforce site rules and regulations.
• Warn or report violators (e.g., loitering, smoking).
• Maintain order among employees and visitors.

Emergency Response
• Act as first responder in emergencies (fire, injury, unauthorized access).
• Contact emergency services when needed.
• Follow company policies on use of force and aggression response.

Reporting & Documentation
• Write detailed reports on daily activities and incidents.
• Maintain logs (keys, visitors, lost items).
• Ensure accuracy and completeness in documentation.

Additional Duties
• May perform reception tasks (phones, visitor check-in).
• Patrol on foot or by vehicle; use surveillance tools.
• Must follow uniform and equipment policies.
• Maintain professionalism, communication, and client relations.
• Work independently, make quick decisions, and manage time effectively.

Job Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age and meet state licensing requirements for unarmed security and pass all background/drug screenings.
