Fruit and Vegetable Order Packer and Quality Control

We are looking for a reliable and efficient Fruit and Vegetable Order Packer to join our team. As a Order Packer, you will be responsible for accurately packing fruit and vegetable orders, ensuring quality control measures are met, and managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
• *Responsibilities**:

- **Order Packing**:

- Receive and review customer orders for fruits and vegetables.
- Select the correct items from inventory and pack them according to order specifications.
- Ensure orders are packed accurately and securely for delivery.
- **Quality Control**:

- Inspect fruits and vegetables for freshness, quality, and proper packaging.
- Discard any items that do not meet quality standards or are damaged.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and sanitation during packing processes.
- **Time Management**:

- Prioritize packing tasks to meet daily order deadlines.
- Work efficiently to minimize packing time while maintaining accuracy.
- Communicate any delays or issues to supervisors in a timely manner.
- **Inventory Management**:

- Assist in inventory management by keeping track of stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Rotate stock and ensure proper storage of fruits and vegetables to maintain freshness.
- **Documentation and Record-Keeping**:

- Complete packing logs, order forms, and other documentation accurately.
- Record inventory movements and update system records as needed.
- **Team Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth workflow and order accuracy.
- Assist in other warehouse tasks as required, such as receiving shipments or organizing stock.
• *Requirements**:

- High school certificate or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order packing or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of fruit and vegetable varieties, quality standards, and packaging techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Physical stamina to lift and move boxes of varying weights.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• *Salary**: R4 500,00 - R5 000,00 per month
