About the Role We’re partnering with a global, sustainability-led packaging business to find a Packaging Quality & Compliance Specialist who will play a key role in ensuring product quality, safety and regulatory compliance across multiple international markets. In this role, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and global suppliers to drive quality excellence from product development through to commercialisation and ongoing production. You’ll be hands-on in resolving quality challenges, strengthening supplier performance and ensuring compliance with evolving packaging standards and regulations. This is a high-impact role suited for someone who enjoys problem-solving, collaboration and delivering outcomes that directly influence product performance and customer experience. Key Responsibilities Packaging Quality & Supplier Management - Develop and maintain packaging quality standards and specifications - Lead investigations into product defects and quality issues - Monitor supplier performance through audits, KPIs and CAPA programmes - Drive continuous improvement across supply and manufacturing partners New Product Introduction & Commercialisation - Support product development from concept through to launch - Review specifications, materials and technical documentation - Coordinate validation, testing and supplier qualification activities - Assess risks associated with new materials, suppliers and product changes Materials & Technical Evaluation - Evaluate packaging materials including fibre-based, bioplastics, films and coatings - Review technical documentation and material declarations - Assess performance, functionality and compliance - Support root cause investigations for material or packaging failures Compliance & Regulatory - Monitor and interpret regulations across food-contact and sustainable packaging - Ensure compliance across ANZ, APAC, EU, UK and North America - Manage certifications, declarations and supporting documentation Root Cause & Continuous Improvement - Lead investigations using structured problem-solving tools (8D, 5 Whys, FMEA) - Analyse trends and implement systemic improvements Quality Systems - Support quality systems including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and BRCGS Packaging - Maintain documentation, specifications and change control processes What You’ll Bring Essential - Experience in packaging quality assurance and defect management - Strong root cause analysis and CAPA experience - Supplier quality management and audit exposure - Strong understanding of packaging specifications and quality standards - Knowledge of material compliance and packaging regulations Nice to Have - Experience with new product introduction or product development - Exposure to sustainable or compostable packaging - Packaging testing and validation experience - Manufacturing or production support background Why Join - Work on a global packaging portfolio with a strong sustainability focus - Collaborate with cross-functional teams and international partners - Play a key role in product quality, compliance and innovation - Be part of a supportive, people-centred team environment
