Civil Engineer (Master Plumber)

As per the National Wages and Productivity Commission, the minimum wage for plumbers in the National Capital Region is PHP 645 per day as of January 2026. Plumbers working more than 8 hours daily receive an overtime rate of 125% of the daily minimum wage. This rate applies to non-agricultural establishments with at least 10 workers.

As per the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, plumbers must hold a National Certificate II in Plumbing NC II issued after completing 176 hours of training and assessment. The certificate is valid indefinitely but requires renewal of accreditation every three years for contractors. Employers must verify this certificate through the TESDA registry before hiring.

As per the Department of Labor and Employment, plumbers are entitled to a standard 8-hour workday and 48-hour workweek with at least one rest day. They receive 5 days of service incentive leave after one year of service plus 13th month pay equivalent to one month's salary. Sick leave and vacation leave depend on company policy but must comply with the 105-day expanded maternity or 7-day paternity leave rules where applicable.

As per the Department of Labor and Employment, applicants must submit a valid government ID, TESDA Plumbing NC II certificate, NBI clearance issued within the last six months, and a barangay clearance. A medical certificate from a DOLE-accredited clinic and SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG numbers are also mandatory before signing any employment contract.
