Job Description
The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks across various systems and equipment within the facility. This role requires versatility and expertise in multiple technical areas, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. The technician will ensure that all equipment is functioning efficiently, conducting regular inspections, troubleshooting issues, and carrying out necessary repairs or upgrades as required.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance and Repairs:
• Perform routine maintenance and repair work on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems within the facility.
• Troubleshoot issues, identify faults, and carry out repairs quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Maintain and repair equipment such as pumps, motors, conveyors, and other mechanical or electrical systems.
• Install, test, and calibrate new equipment or machinery to ensure proper functioning.

Inspections and Diagnostics:
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to identify any signs of wear, damage, or malfunction.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to identify issues and implement solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and any actions taken.

Safety and Compliance:
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and other employees.
• Comply with industry standards, local regulations, and company policies regarding equipment maintenance, repairs, and safety.
• Ensure that all maintenance and repair work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
• Identify root causes of technical problems and determine the most effective solutions.
• Respond quickly to emergency repair needs to minimize production downtime and facility disruptions.

Documentation and Reporting:
• Keep detailed records of work performed, including repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts used.
• Report any potential improvements or upgrades needed for systems or equipment to management.
• Maintain an inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts, and notify management when supplies are low.

Collaboration and Support:
• Work closely with other maintenance staff and departments to ensure smooth operations and efficient problem resolution.
• Assist in training other staff members on equipment operation, safety protocols, and basic troubleshooting.

Additional Duties:
• Assist with the installation of new equipment and machinery as required.
• Support the team in performing upgrades, modifications, and improvements to facility systems.
• Participate in team meetings to review performance, discuss challenges, and develop improvements.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Technical certification or degree in a related field (e.g., electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or industrial maintenance) is preferred.

Experience:
• Proven experience as a multi-skilled technician or in a similar maintenance role.
• Strong background in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Experience in troubleshooting and repairing equipment and systems.

Skills:
• Proficient in the use of maintenance tools, diagnostic equipment, and machinery.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Good understanding of safety protocols and regulations.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.

Certifications (Preferred):
• Certification in specific technical areas (e.g., electrical, HVAC, plumbing).

Working Conditions:
• Full-time position with standard working hours; however, flexibility is required as some work may need to be performed outside of regular hours to accommodate facility needs.
• The role may involve standing, walking, and lifting equipment or materials, as well as working in confined spaces or at heights.
• Safety equipment such as gloves, goggles, and hearing protection may be required.
