Citarella, The Ultimate Gourmet Market, is seeking a reliable and efficient food delivery driver to join our team. The food delivery driver will be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of goods to predetermined customers on specific routes, reviewing orders prior to delivery, loading and unloading trucks, and providing exceptional customer service. Our ideal candidates have a clean driving record, are punctual, can work under time pressure, and have excellent customer service skills. MUST HAVE OPEN AVAILABILITY. Schedule is varied.

Role and Responsibilities
• Pack and load products onto trucks according to company’s specifications
• Deliver orders to customers on assigned routes
• Maintain ongoing communication with route dispatcher
• Unload goods as per client specifications
• Review deliveries with customers to ensure products meet their needs
• Obtain delivery confirmations from each customer
• Navigate efficiently between multiple delivery locations
• Provide excellent customer service, addressing customers’ questions or concerns
• Communicate effectively with the restaurant or food service establishment for any order discrepancies or special instructions
• Conduct inspections of vehicle before departing to deliver goods
• Follow traffic laws and street signs to ensure safe delivery
• Maintain a clean and operational vehicle

Qualifications and Requirements
• Proven experience as a delivery driver in the tri-state area
• Valid professional driver’s license
• Ability to operate hand truck in a variety of weather and traffic conditions
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Good driving record with no traffic violation

Preferred skills:
• Prior experience in a food/ retail company is a plus.
• Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
• Organized, reliable, and demonstrate timelines
• Able to meet physical demands of the position
