About Us

Mechanical & Plumbing Systems is a growing commercial mechanical and plumbing contracting firm serving the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. We work across a diverse portfolio of projects including large commercial facilities, institutional clients, and high-end multifamily developments. We are committed to quality craftsmanship, precise project execution, and building a team of professionals who grow with us long-term.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Plumber Foreman to lead new construction plumbing operations in the field. This is a leadership-forward role designed for a skilled tradesman who can read and execute from construction documents, coordinate with project stakeholders, and drive crews to deliver on time, on scope, and on budget. The ideal candidate combines strong technical plumbing knowledge with the organizational skills and professional presence to represent Mechanical & Plumbing Systems at the project management level.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day field operations for new construction plumbing scopes across commercial and multifamily projects

• Read, interpret, and execute from construction drawings, specifications, and issued-for-construction documents

• Coordinate directly with General Contractors, subcontractors, and Project Managers to keep projects on schedule, within scope, and on budget

• Manage and direct crews of subcontractors and temporary workers, ensuring quality, productivity, and jobsite safety standards are met

• Identify and communicate scope changes, RFIs, and potential schedule impacts to project management in a timely manner

• Track material needs, coordinate deliveries, and manage jobsite inventory to prevent delays

• Conduct regular progress reviews and field coordination meetings with project stakeholders

• Enforce company safety policies and OSHA standards across all crew members on site

• Maintain accurate daily logs, field reports, and crew documentation

• Participate in weekly on-call rotation as scheduled

Requirements

• Valid Texas Journeyman Plumber License (required)

• 5–10 years of commercial plumbing experience with significant new construction background

• Demonstrated ability to read and execute from full construction plan sets including civil, architectural, mechanical, and plumbing drawings

• Experience coordinating with General Contractors, subcontractors, and Project Managers in a foreman or lead capacity

• Proven ability to manage, motivate, and direct crews including subcontractors and temporary labor

• Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record

• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen

• Must obtain OSHA 30 certification within 60 days of employment (company-supported)

• Ability to obtain and maintain security badging for Dallas ISD, DFW Airport, and other secured facilities

• Strong communication skills — must be capable and comfortable in professional project meetings

• Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced construction environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Bluebeam Revu experience for plan review, markup, and field coordination

• Procore experience for project documentation, scheduling, and subcontractor management

• Prior formal crew management or field supervisor experience

• Familiarity with DFW-area GC relationships and commercial construction market

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive, market-rate hourly pay commensurate with experience and leadership responsibilities

• Company take-home truck provided

• Complete benefits package including medical, vision, and dental coverage

• 401(k) with company matching

• Paid Time Off (PTO)

• Professional education and continuing education funding — including OSHA 30 support

• Growth-minded compensation structure with advancement opportunity as the division expands
