What You’ll Need
• Certification in SMAW or GMAW welding processes
• Ability to weld single-process plate to required standards; may require x-ray quality welds
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and work orders
• Physical ability to stand, lift, carry, and handle materials frequently
• Ability to work in shop or field environments, including exposure to outdoor weather, noise, and construction equipment
• Basic math and spatial reasoning skills
• Effective verbal communication skills
• May require a high school diploma or equivalent with previous experience in the field or related area
• Commitment to safety and following all project rules, including PPE usage
