Job Title: TIG Welder

Shift: 1st

Pay: $20-25hr

Job Description

The Stainless Steel Finisher will be responsible for cleaning, grinding, polishing, and performing all types of metal finishing work on stainless steel. This can be accomplished by hand or using handheld power tools.

Responsibilities
• Perform TIG welding as required.
• Clean and polish stainless-steel slides and other products to achieve desired finishes.
• Grind, file, or sand surfaces of metal items, specifically stainless-steel slides, but may work on other products or metals.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and knowledge of metal finishing techniques to examine and detect defects in metal surfaces.
• Remove dents using a hammer and dolly block and fill uneven surfaces with molten solder.
• Smooth the surface of metal items to a specified finish using hand tools and powered tools.
• Polish metal surfaces using powered polishing wheel or belt.

Essential Skills
• Proficiency in TIG welding.
• Experience in metal finishing, particularly with stainless steel.
• Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
• Capability to perform quality checks and ensure high-quality finishes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Knowledge of finishes #2, #3, and mirror finish is required.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• 2-3 years of prior experience as a Stainless Steel Finisher in any industry.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs independently on a regular basis.
• Must pass a skills and quality test prior to hiring.

Work Environment

The work environment consists of a non-climate-controlled atmosphere, working alongside 60 other employees. Steel toe boots are required, and the typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
