We are seeking a skilled Pipe Welder to enhance our fast-growing team. As a member of our pipe shop, you will be essential in preparing, laying out, tacking, welding, testing complex pipe spools and piping systems per our production schedule and guidelines set forth by the shop superintendent.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform pipe welding and fitting, leveraging your knowledge of applicable codes and specifications.
• Interpret work packages, engineered drawings, and P&IDs to guide your work.
• Collaborate with the pipe shop team to ensure quality, adherence to customer demands, and project timelines.
• Assemble, weld, and test piping spools, ensuring compliance and completion before Quality Assurance (QA) review.
• Maintain welding equipment in optimal working condition and report any issues that require service.
• Keep personal welding gear, measuring tools, and equipment in good working order.
• Take on additional tasks as needed to support team objectives.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in welding, particularly in GTAW processes and pipe qualification in the 6-G position following ASME Section IX.
• Experience with structural welding using GMAW according to AWS D1.1; prior welding qualifications are advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret welding symbols, work scopes, and technical drawings effectively.
• Proficient in using measuring tools and techniques.
• Comprehensive mechanical knowledge to fabricate and install piping as per specifications.
• Team-oriented with self-motivation and a commitment to excellence.
• Must be a US Citizen and available to work overtime as needed.
• Have the necessary hand tools to perform welding tasks and keep them maintained.
• Reliable transportation to and from Rhoads Industries and flexibility to work at other job sites as required.
• OSHA 10 safety training is provided; an up-to-date OSHA 10 certification is a plus.
• Previous experience with MIL work as per TP278 as well as qualifications for TP248 are preferred.
• Willingness to work various shifts, including overtime and weekends.

Work Environment:
• This role involves exposure to construction and industrial settings where personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, hard hats, and hearing protection is mandatory.
