Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Helper to support our culinary team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and ensure food safety standards are upheld. This role is perfect for individuals interested in gaining experience in the food industry and developing their skills in food handling and kitchen operations.

Duties
• Assist with meal preparation and food assembly according to recipes and standards
• Support cooking activities under supervision, ensuring quality and presentation
• Help with food handling, storage, and sanitation to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
• Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning as needed
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
• Assist with serving food to customers or plating dishes as directed
• Follow all food safety guidelines and proper hygiene practices at all times
• Support team members during busy periods to ensure efficient kitchen operations

Experience
• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred but not required
• Familiarity with cooking techniques and meal preparation is a plus
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures is desirable
• Prior kitchen experience or exposure to the food industry will be advantageous for applicants looking to grow within the role
