Executive Chef – Fiaschetteria Pistoia

Location: East Village, Manhattan, New York City

Fiaschetteria Pistoia, an established Italian restaurant group with roots in Tuscany, is seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Chef to lead our kitchen in the East Village. We are looking for a professional who embodies authentic Italian culinary tradition while maintaining high operational standards in a fast-paced New York environment.

We also offer support with work visa applications for qualified international candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring consistency, quality, and efficiency

• Lead, train, and manage the kitchen team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment

• Maintain high standards in the preparation and presentation of authentic Italian cuisine

• Manage supplier relationships and oversee inventory control and food cost management

• Ensure proper handling and sourcing of fresh, high-quality ingredients

• Communicate regularly and effectively with company leadership, including via phone and remote coordination

Qualifications

• Fluency in both Italian and English (required)

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a professional kitchen

• Strong background in Italian cuisine, with experience in Italy or extensive work with authentic Italian culinary practices

• Deep knowledge of fresh ingredient sourcing, handling, and seasonal menu development

• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team

• Experience with supplier management and food inventory control

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to perform under pressure

• Strong communication skills, particularly in maintaining consistent and clear communication with management
